Hooray for No-Prep End-of-Year Activities!

You're over it, the kids are over it, but you still have days until the school year officially comes to an end. What you want most is to keep your students engaged with little to no prep without playing silent ball or watching another G rated movie and comparing it to the book. Maybe you aren't that teacher in May, but I'm owning it. Yes, I needed activities that required very little prep, so I could not only maintain my sanity, but take care of the endless end-of-year checklists and requirements before leaving for the summer. Here are some of my top picks:

Digital Breakouts might possibly be the greatest thing to happen to a technology rich classroom.

Students work through puzzles and apply skills while recording their work on a student guide and get keys to open locks and breakout. Try this End-of-Year Skills edition to test your students' knowledge of parts of speech, figurative language, Greek and Latin Roots as well as reading skills.

Students love to play games, but have you thought about having them write a review for one? Let them play their favorite school-approved game and then write a thoughtful review for it based on a list of questions and criteria. Take a look at the Write a Game Review resource.

But wait...the technology department thought it would be a good idea to turn in all devices three weeks before the end of the year. This was my worst nightmare because a lot of my curriculum was technology integrated. So, if you don't have access to technology, then the May ELA Skills Mini Bundle is the perfect solution for you. It's a mini bundle of English Language Arts skills and literacy activities that Includes five different no-prep printable student resources including pronouns, dictionary skills, Greek and Latin Roots vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and parts of speech.

Summer is coming, friends. I know many of you will spend your time catching up on things at home, participating in professional development, and pursuing other passions. Don't forget to make time for yourself. Wishing you all a wonderful break!

Untill next time,
